My e-reader is a Kindle Paperwhite
My Tablet is an iPad.
If I am reading for long periods of time (which is rare) I use my Paperwhite. Also, if I am going to be say some place like a doctor's office and it's pre-meditated I use my Paperwhite. Much smaller and definitely portable.
If I am just reading articles or say fanfiction I use my iPad.
Also it depends on which device is charged lol
