That's what I do, too, after I download the metadata on Calibre, for example "On Basilisk Station (HH01)". That way on whatever device I'm reading the series on, I know the order just by pulling up the author's name.

I'm finding I tend to choose my reading device to fit the circumstances. Outside reading - e-ink devices, well-lit indoor reading - either e-ink or LED devices depending on whether I intend to play games also, at night in bed - LED device (don't have to fool around with a clip on light, leaving the room light on, or angling a desk lamp to shine on the reader).
