The Great Gatsby was published in 1925. In some countries, such as the United States, it is still in copyright. In other countries it's in the public domain.

You need to find out what the laws are in your country to decide which version/edition to buy. (And yes, the copyright laws are a complete mess, one that few governments in the world are willing to attempt to update.)
