Glad I picked up the Nook HD and HD+ during the recent sales, then. The HD is much more convenient for me to carry around and use for web surfing than my cell phone is (that screen is just too small for comfort). I downloaded and installed the N2A CM 10 software and put it on the HD+ and now that's a great full-featured Android tablet.
Too bad the company's leadership couldn't come up with a better way to market them. Very stupid of them not to have opened up to Google Play sooner and stressed that the Kindle app on the Nook breaks Amazon's "chains" and gives book book readers more options. Sometimes acknowledging the other guy in the room can be turned to one's advantage if the folks in charge aren't short-sighted and know how to play it.
