Malresponsive Touch Screen

Hello,
I've been enjoying my first e-reader quite a lot even with the frustrating amout of glitches I've been experiencing with my Mini.
The main one is that the touch screen mapping is all funky.

If I touch one area, it sometimes selects another another area. Plenty of areas are completely non-responsive to touching.
Sometimes if I touch a menu item, it'll flash black indicating it's been selected, but won't actually proceed to the next screen, no matter how many times I push the menu item.
The next/previous mapping layout is weird as well. Sometimes no matter where I press, no matter how many times I press the e-reader won't turn a page. Sometimes when I hit the right side of the screen it'll turn to the previous page and vice versa. Sometimes it'll do a double page flip. Sometimes when I'm touching the exact same spot, it'll flip back and forth between the next and previous page.
The bottom slider on the library screen is glitchy too. Sometimes no matter where you press on the slider line, it'll quickly flash to that page and then, usually, back to page 1. Sometimes if I screw around with it too much, it'll flash to page 1 and then the grayscale value will be a lot lower and it'll freeze.

It can turn off/on and I've tried the reset button on the back panel with a toothpick but I didn't notice anything when I pressed it.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
