That actually wasn't directed at you or anything you said.
I certainly agree that it's more than I would have expected, but then again, one would think that companies like Amazon and Apple keep a pretty close eye on the sales figures. Until someone who is in a place to know, such as one of the publishers, or other ebook stores, publishes something that contradicts what those, I'll accept what Apple says on the matter. So far, I don't think any of the other ebook stores have contradicted Apple.
As I have said before, I would not be surprised if Apple tends to sale more to readers not on this board, i.e. not the hardcore ebook readers, more like those who buy the summer thrillers for reading on vacation and the like.
