I found this place in doing research for how to start self-publishing e-books for my school/community/non-profit-organization that I do volunteer work for, here in Costa Rica.
I'm astonished by all the great information to be found here and generous individuals willing to share what they know, and want to express my gratitude to the community of Mobileread.
I'm currently working on converting our first book into e-book format (probably mainly for Amazon) and really want to learn the methods and best practices right from the start, so that I'll be able to create many more books to come that will be beautiful, readable and future-safe. This seems like a big challenge, since there appears to be so much conflicting information out there and the field in itself evolving so rapidly.
With dedicated effort and assistance from the community, I know it can be done -- so I thank you in advance for any help you are able and willing to give me to my inquiries!
