No, I don't believe so. It's a free market - nobody is forced to buy books from them if they don't wish to do so.

Books have traditionally been more expensive in the UK than in the US. Waterstones' books seem reasonably priced compared to UK printed editions.

If you believe that their prices are uncompetitive, don't buy from them!
