Mr. Saddam undoubtedly did possess chemical weapons - past tense. However, all the evidence suggests that they were destroyed following the first gulf war, as he was required to do by the UN and, as it appears, that he actually did do, given that absolutely nothing has been discovered in goodness knows how many years of searching.

Do you honestly believe that a "suspicion" that a country might be harbouring chemical weapons is sufficient justification to invade it and overthrow its government? Your country has a massive stockpile of chemical weapons - does that give other nations a legitimate excuse to attack it?
