At night I like to turn down the Glo's light a bit and play one or two games of Sudoku before I go to sleep.
But somehow the devs forgot there is no topbar in Sudoku, so there's no way to access the brightness settings.

Very interesting points. Since the Aura is my first lighted ereader, I've only know the light controls as you see them now.
Without comparison, it was fine (failure #2) and I don't feel the need to change the light level when playing sudoku or word scramble (failure #3). But I clearly see your points and yes the extras don't have a top bar menu, so there is no way to control the light from there.
Hopefully you'll see improvement in the next firmwares
