Speaking for myself (and I am unanimous in that
), I could care less about karma or about post counts.
I'm not here for that. I do like the fact that my "work" here is often appreciated (eg. book assembly, humor, support for MobileRead, being able to help individuals when I have the knowledge to assist, etc.)
I'm here to contribute to this great community, where opinions differ and friendships are made, but where respect is paramount, as was your post.
How an individual contributes, of course, is up to that individual.
I like it that we can have a serious fun on this site and also separate the two into distinct groups and sometimes have only fun and sometimes be only serious.
Now, before this gets too serious, I'm going to have to go. This is, after all,
