For E-Book Reader there is one rule. Don't put your shopping stuff in the same backpack slot as your e-book reader. I had broken several Kindle 3 and 4 with that method.

For over a year I was careful and nothing happened. The Onyx M92 is still in one piece. I suppose most of the broken screen issues came from misuse and vertical side pressure onto the screen.
