I'm not uplifted by the books themselves (though I am aware that some of the people I admire -- Poe, Mozart, etc. -- did the very same thing).

What I'm happy about is this: A couple facing financial ruin was able to conjure a source of income out of text and vapor. I'm not a fan of romance novels, but I do applaud those who manage to break free of the toil of cubicle purgatory.
