I'm not at all suggesting to do away with the feature. But as long as I've used Calibre for at least the last 2.5 years, I've never known about that feature, hence my "misuse" of it.

I'm just suggesting a warning when you drag a book there with a box to tick to never show that warning again, the same as when deleting a book or completing certain tasks has in the lower left corner to choose to not see those warnings again. And/or an option only for those users who never use it to disable dragging anything to the Book Detail pane.

I certainly don't want the feature eliminated.
