If a simple pinhole reset doesn't work, you can try a factory reset.

Hold the power slider in the off position for 15 seconds. This is just to ensure that the Touch is turned off.

Press and hold the home button. Paper clip reset the Touch. When the LED starts blinking rapidly (discoing), you can release the home button. The screen should display that it is resetting.
