Nook Glo

I have a Nook Classic ... I'd like a Nook Glo, (or something similar, but it must read my B&N books as I have an extensive library).

The main reason I have not made a purchase is because of the way the library is handled. (I know some will say I can root or use Calibre, but I haven't read anything that indicates that either will do what I want).

On my Classic, I can create shelves. I can then select a book and choose which shelves on which it should be placed. I use a "Finished" shelf ... so when I finish a book, it is very easy to choose "Place on or Remove from Shelf" and check "Finished" and un-check the shelf or shelves it was on. (it's not that simple, I actually have several "Finished" shelves ...)

My mom has an STR ... no Glo ... she sets up her shelves and then chooses a shelf and has to wade through all of her books to find the ones that belong on the shelf. She has paper lists because some of the titles are similar and she can't remember when she gets to the "Ms" if a book is a mystery or historical fiction.

So ... has the library/shelving system on the STR Glo changed since I last looked?
I see lots of reports of "B&N won't be here much longer" and "B&N is abandoning the STR/Glo"

So, what's the scoop?
