I think I had the same problem. I wanted to update to 2.6.1 (I was on 2.5.1), so I turned on Wifi (I had to enter my password), synced, and it upgraded to 2.5.2 . I then tried another sync, and the sync never finished. It looked like wifi was on, and when I went to check my wifi connection, it asked me to re-enter my Wifi password, so I stopped. I've been trying to upgrade to 2.6.1 using the desktop, and still no luck.
