For those who understand the synchronization process, do you sync from the book, the library, the home screen? Does that even matter?
Do you use the function which is displayed when pressing the wrench (from inside a book)?
Any help is welcome

I'm lost. Maybe I should try and find a user guide somewhere
Triggering the sync process from the library or the home screen carries out the same functions (as near as I can tell from looking at the packet captures though I was looking more for what I consider to be private information that may have been transmitted) while a sync from the "Sync my book activity" (firmware 2.6.1, .kepub book from the Kobo bookstore) just synchronizes bookmark, reading position, etc. information for that single book. To copy the reading position in a .kepub between my Aura and my iPad, I have to sync on the Aura to save my current reading position and then sync on the iPad to copy the reading position there. Since I mostly use my iPad for pdf manuals, I seldom read fiction on it so being unable to sync epub reading position is not a big deall

David
