..but not new to reading conventional books of which I now have far too many!

Looking to cut down on bulky, space swallowing conventional books and move over to lean, mean, easily stored and retrieved ebooks.

I'm pretty new to this new book format and am just starting my first forays into potential readers and available book formats.

I've worked within the publishing industry for nigh on 30 odd years, first as a typesetter, then designer, copy editor, proof reader and then manager. My first degree is in typographic design so come with some knowledge and understanding of the conventional book production industry and hope to build on that in this new world of electronic books.

I've browsed the site and it looks fascinating, a veritable treasure trove of interesting and useful information.

Avid reader of principally Historical Fiction and pure History but I occasionally forage in other genres as well.

Looking forward to contributing here and stuffing my head full of new and interesting information.
