Kinda sad that they're lowering the comprehension level.
I hated reading what was assigned to me when I was in high school. Works from Steinbeck, Hemingway, and Maugham were extremely boring. I would've preferred older classics from the 19th century and back.
I'll take the
Harvard Classics any day
