If so, I get that. No need to call out the gender of a nurse, or a race car driver, or an editor in passing mention.
Surely though, there are times when the small difference of gender (vive la différence) within an occupation are indeed relevant to a discussion. In those cases, is the word 'lady' as an adjective, still considered condescending?
What's the PC term? "Female?" "X Chromsome-gifted?"
