Indeed -- more than most of us have, which makes me happy for you.

I hope you'll try to recall the conversations and circumstances and write down any memorable bits -- if not for society at large, then at least for yourself.

I do that myself whether the person is celebrated or obscure, mostly because I feel it's my duty to honor them. (One could argue, of course, that Banks's body of work -- his corpus, as it were -- is testament enough.)
