I been an American for longer than grits been on the griddle. My usage of "lit" would be purtnear 99%. Don't know as I ever heerd any other cowpokes use "lighted" in all my born days. In other words, we're lit up for "lit".

To be fair, you dismissed the poll that showed 30% of buyers had returned it for a replacement (mostly multiple times). I saw no reason to dismiss that poll other than brand-loyalty and bias. People that own kindles and frequent the amazon sub-forum are overwhelmingly pro-kindle. They don't come her to complain about it. Clearly there are problems with the PW lighting technology. You yourself stated that the producers are unable to totally eliminate the reported issues because of the underlying tech.

It may be that people who are unhappy are more likely to chime in to the poll. All I know is, I like mine. There are a couple of shadowy areas at the bottom, but it is still eminently readable. I don't notice any bizarre hues haunting my texts. Of course, I never crank the light up. Photosensivity.
Not perfect, but not bad.
