I just tested it on my kobo aura, which has a 7" screen, outstanding lighting and a very high definition, and it looks beautiful, even though in black and white.
For the information of other kobo users, I'd already decided to disable the kobo extension in Calibre, because it did strange things to the beautiful Pynch productions, without adding much that I could see.
