I'm not aware of the differences between "Western" 650s and those released in say, Japan or somewhere else India. Though, if it were me, and I read the same thing, I'd be hesitant about modding my non-US 650, too  |
Can you choose to display the menu in English or Japanese (only)? Anyway, it seems yours is a Western firmware. That's great if PRS+ is working very well for you
I'll stick with the stock firmware on mine since I have no complaints: if it ain't broke, don't fix it
Not all of the 650 have a short life. Many people here are still using one as a primary ereader.
