The Man Who Loved Books Too Much
I just finished Allison Hoover Bartlett's Man Who Loved books Too Much. I found it a fascinating book. The book is about two men, actually. One is a rare book thief and the other is a person who has devoted years and years to catching him. Bartlett interacts with both of them. Whilst telling that story, she also writes about the history of paper books. Amazing quotes and evocative writing about what books mean to people and why.
It is one of the 60% off books on Kobo through the 10th. I paid $4.99. I checked and the version of Amazon I see here in Canada does not list a Kindle edition. YMMV.
