How did you, guys, updated the frmware?

Many thanks!
Kobo's normal procedure is to roll out updates slowly which might give a chance for early adopters to scream that the update is causing issues with their devices or it may just be to keep their servers from being snowed under when every Kobo ereader updates within a short time.

I had a Glo that updated over wireless so I reverted it back to factory and then used Wireshark to capture the URL for the downloaded file when it updated connected to a computer. I then downloaded the file from the captured URL which was (I hoped, fervently) the firmware for the Aura, Glo, Mini, new Touch and tried it on my Aura. It worked so I then downloaded the file from the kobo3 directory and checked that it looked right for the old Touch firmware.

The links are posted in the Kobo Developer's Corner in the Direct Links to Kobo Firmware thread in the first message. There is also information on how to update the firmware with the downloaded package in that thread.

Regards,
David
