As for P&P, I own both the 1995 and 2005 versions as well as the 1980 mini-series. The 1995 mini-series is by far my favorite but each production has its high points. I wasn't a fan of MacFayden's Darcy but can see why others are. My main issues were
Spoiler:
the pigs in the house (the Bennets were poor but still part of the upper class) and I thought they totally miswrote the character of Mrs. Bennet. Also having the Bennet parents be in love goes against everything about their relationship in the book.
I'm not a total purist, but there are few things that go over the line for me
