Just 2 hours ago my Kindle Fire HD 7" 32 Gb did a firmware upgrade immediately after I closed the cover after reading some pages in an eBook.
It went from version 7.4.1 to 7.4.3 !
However, the Amazon upgrade site shown here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=201016350
still shows version 7.3.1 as the latest version.
In addition, in the past every upgrade turned on Location-Based Services which drained my battery. This time that did NOT happen.
Does anyone know what changed in 7.4.3 ?
Is it possible that only a few of us are now getting the firmware upgrades so Amazon can see if there are any major problems before these upgrades are offered to everyone else?
I've been leaving Location-Based Services turned off all the time due to its prior effect on my battery. Maybe the new upgrades are only going to those with that "feature" turned off.
