I've read the first two books of the third series. I thought the first was very good, the second left me scratching a little, the new people on the scene don't make a lot of sense to me yet, so I've left the third book sitting on my shelf until the fourth arrives and then I'll read over from the start and see how it goes. I know the "The Gap" series (sci-fi) from Donaldson turned out to be effectively just one huge book rather than the five it was published as, so maybe this third Covenant series will be the same.
