There is a limit, but it has nothing to do with time. It has to do with how likely it is that the spoiler content is common knowledge. So is the fact that the ship sinks at the end of the movie Titanic, or that the 300 spartans in that really cheesy movie all die at the end. Everyone already knows that too, but that has nothing to do with how long it's been since either event.

And you get that, you're too smart not to understand the difference.

It's really not that difficult to take an extra moment to wrap spoiler tags around something. Why not take the extra few seconds and make sure you don't ruin someone else's enjoyment of a book you obviously enjoyed enough to tell others about it?
