1. The switch is actually smaller than the external button.

2. I can do this too.

3. Don't do that. It takes a lot of pressure, and what you're actually doing is deforming the case and causing the external button's interior surface to contact the switch. Keep it up and I'll expect to see a post about how your e-ink screen cracked and you have no idea how it could possibly have happened...
