Do they put strain on the eyes like LCD or are more akin to e-ink?
Hum, I am a heavy reader on LCD now, since I have my FamilyPad 2 for maybe 3 months now, and I can't say that it puts a strain on your eyes.
I could even say that I prefer that to my previous e-ink reader (a PocketBook Pro 903) where the contrast was not so great and I had to read with a strong lamp beside me.
Contrast for me is the main element. And besides, I always put the luminosity on quite low. For me, these two elements make reading very comfortable on the LCD screen of my tablet.
