Could you check that the cover images are removed? After resending a book, look on the device in ".kobo/images". The file names are based in the full path of the book. I use the default save template, so I just for files with part of the author name. If they aren't there for the book, it should be OK. If they are still there, there is a problem in the main driver that I will need to look at.
Ok, I looked in the .kobo/images folder and found 3 files with the name of the book in question. All 3 had the extension ".parsed". So I copied them out, renamed the extension to .jpg and opened them. All 3 were of the old, original cover, in various sizes. There are no files in the .kobo/images folder related to the book in question that have the new cover. So it seems that simply using "Send to device" on a book with updated cover does not work, it looks like you have to delete the existing book first.
