Seems to be
very connected to syncing. I connected the device to my laptop and Kobo Desktop, and it synced. After that, the last read tile is the book I quickly opened on my desktop. And opening other books locally on the Aura won't update any tile ... Weird ...
(Not that it's the end of the world or anything.)
