If the book has DRM, the upload process will throw an error unless you enable either Upload DRM-encumbered ePub files or Silently Ignore Failed Conversions. If you only enable Silently Ignore Failed Conversions, the upload will silently fail (or it should!) and if you enable Upload DRM-encumbered ePub files I won't make any KePub changes at all.
