Thinking of 5th Generation
I own the Kindle 3 (or Keyboard) and I love it, but it's getting a bit buggy and battered. I'm thinking that the Kindle 5th Gen. is the way to go.
I've tried to develop a liking for the Kindle Fire and the Kindle Paperwhite but have been unable to do so. I don't need a tablet - just a reliable ereader, so the Fire is out. And as nice as the Paperwhite's screen is, I just don't like the touch feature. I find that when trying the PW at the store, it's just too easy to mistakenly activate the page turn or the menu. Maybe I'd get used to it eventually but the plain old 5th Gen. seems like the closest thing to my Kindle 3 (without the K3's extra features that I never used anyway).
My only hesitation is - what does Amazon have up its sleeve. Will there be a Kindle 6th Gen. that's worth waiting for? Or will Amazon abandon the basic Kindle with page turns?
My Kindle 3 still works so I can wait if I have to. But should I?
