I think 6mm is pushing it since the cases has curvature that would make it a very tight fit. It may be more prone to overheating and other problems. So far, my iliad is still doing well. Battery life has dropped a little since the first install by maybe 5-10%. Hard to say as I have not used it continuously for a while. Usually on and off for several hours at a time. I am really getting some more use out of it now that I am out of town and have most of my books on here. Good luck with your installs and hope everything is all right.
