4a) That's a shortcoming in some dictionaries. While Other dictionaries repeat the word twice (so there won't be any problem with these) ..you can find more dictionaries at torrents.
4b) you will have to learn how to edit startdict dictionaries
5) It works much better as an eink monitor. Try that ..i mainly use it that way
7) Don't know much about images but i try to know the name of file by numerical numbers shown at the bottom of image viewer
