FWIW Calibre has a field named 'ID' . you can use {id} any place the
template language is used. This is the number shown after the title (if you peek under the skirts) in the Library folder.

You might want to choose a slight variation on the name, so there is no confusion on
which ({id} or {#id}) ID you are talking about
