My suggestion had nothing to do with readability.

It was motivated by a desire to 'gather' the variable information together in one place and in the place where I find most applications put it - in the status bar.

The title bar can and is written to by 3rd party applications. I use a couple, calibre along almost all other apps is oblivious to their existence. See attachment, normally the extra buttons you see are next to the standard close/max/min buttons, I moved them to left illustrate my point.

My partner runs a clock and timer app in her title bar on her mac - she's a lawyer and charges by the millisecond :lol:

Anyway it was just a suggestion - not a request.
