Yeah, if you have a Kindle, eReader probably wouldn't work that well. (Though if you buy books in unprotected Mobipocket format off of eReader's sister site, Fictionwise, you can Kindle them. Likewise, with a little googling you can find cracking tools for eReader, .LIT, or protected Mobipocket that will explode them into HTML that you can then use at your leisure.)
But for the tiny minority of us who have Windows desktops, Mac desktops, PalmOS devices, whatever-they're-calling-Windows-CE-this-week devices, Windows Mobile devices, iPhones or iPod Touches, Symbian smartphones, or OQOs, it works just fine!
