The heat down here would make the glue hot enough to seperate the cover from the book and even make some pages fall out. (Rubber Cement was my freind)

I have plenty of books in the conditions you mention. I was talking about the ones I buy new or in like new Condition.
If I am going to pay $5 for a book It better be in Very good or better condition. Stuff I find locally are never in that great of condition.
The one Judith E French book I got this week in the mail hubby said "What's wrong with it? It has tan and brown speckle pages. I told him nothing is wrong with it. The book was written in 1986. This is great condition for a book that old.
I'm still on the hunt for Windsong when I get more money. June first can't come fast enough.
