Yes that's my reasoning too for keep both. My Keeper shelf is named just for that. I should say I store my books laying down horizontally stack on each other. So that shelf has quite a few on it. It keeps the spines in good shape. Yes I am one of those who never creases her book's spine. Nothing annoys me more then finding a book like that!
Well that leaves me out from donating to you, My paperbacks are in various states of looks like new to well read city. I got alot of my books at garage sales, Goodwill, or my friends would give me bags of books. I also would read the heck out of them.

Then I moved to Florida. OMG, I would never leave home without a book with me and kept a small bag in my car in case I finished the book I brought and needed another. I stopped that real quick. The heat down here would make the glue hot enough to seperate the cover from the book and even make some pages fall out. (Rubber Cement was my freind)

I love my nook......
