All existing books
in your Calibre Library should still be there. The (re)installation should have recognized the old settings and shown the existing Library.
Use the OS to search for 'metadata.
db. If you have more than 1, you have more than 1 Library in the works.
Report your findings an we can proceed based upon the results.
