I'm literally LOL, I bought the Mercy Thompson series too, must have been a sale! I bought both series March 2012, haven't read 1 of those yet either. If I remember correctly, the first few books of Mercy Thompson occur before the events in Alpha & Omega, after that I would recommend reading both series together by publication date as there is some very minor overlap between them.
