For COPS you would need your own webserver.

A webserver like Apache can easily be installed on almost any Windows PC, Mac or Linux PC or any device, like a NAS, that usually runs on a kind of Linux.

But, if you have all your e-books in Calibre you can also use the OPDS content server of Calibre.
Just enable it in Calibre (see Attached Thumbnail) and connect to it in Marvin.

To find the <IP_of_Calibre_PC> just click on Connect/share in Calibre again after you have started the content server.

As I run my own small low powered home-server I prefer to use COPS over starting up Calibre on my Desktop PC (Mac mini actually) every time I want to browse through my e-book collection. With COPS its always available.
