Thunderbird to Plucker? (via Sunrise?)

Laurens, I was doing a search on "thunderbird plucker", and found that you're also a fan of Thunderbird .

I've now started up a (rambling) blog, and posted how I've been managing RSS and podcast feeds in Thunderbird .

It occurred to me that one of the minor annoyances I'm having with Sunrise (and I'm not yet at the new alpha version) is that I'm still pulling down information that I've already read.

One way of getting around this would be to have Thunderbird offload some of the effort on Sunrise, by managing the list of unread postings on Thunderbird.

I've been reading that there's some new functionality in the alpha, so I'm speaking somewhat out of ignorance. Am I totally wrongheaded in my thinking? Is this something that new (or old) Sunrise already does, or could do?

Other searches turn up Firefox to Plucker connections, but I don't see equivalent Thunderbird to Plucker transfers. Thanks.
