Customized character set problem - with solution

I have updated my reader with PRS customizer and added localized / unicode support.
Now the reader can display eastern European characters. However there is a CATCH - there is a render bug. The Ebook library (connect) software cannot handle the extended characters. Not even if the installed Dutch font is removed and the font on the reader installed for Windows. This results in a weird bug.
Since the Sony software cannot render the special characters, they are replaced with a space character. If you render the book on the PC with the software this is clearly visible. The space is usually narrower then the replaced custom character and this will result in some words slipping to the next line on the Reader. Thus the Reader will not render the last line of the page, because an additional line was unexpectedly taken up by a line that is longer on the Reader than in the Ebook library software.

This is a very annoying problem, many pages in the book will not display correctly, the last line will just disappear.

The solution however is quite simple: just copy the LRF file to the Reader's drive in windows and do not use the Ebook library software. This way the book will be correctly formatted by the Reader itself.

Bottom line: If you are using an extended character set, transfer the files to the Reader directly without the Ebook library.
