I am leaving this note as a message in a bottle for anyone using ~Windows 7 64-bit who tries to uninstall calibre2 and receives a "You must be Administrator to uninstall calibre" when they are an Administrator.

To get around this, you need to fire up your trusty Regedit.exe and search for the word "calibre". When you eventually get to the calibre entry under the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\M icrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{randomn umber folder you have found the right one.

Copy the ValueData in UninstallString in this folder. Go you your Start Menu, find the command prompt icon, right click it, select Run as Administrator, and then paste the UninstallString into it.

That should do it.
